Google – Scanning the Net for Holes (Part 1)

Scanning BotIn security that is and the stuff of fiction has become reality when hackers developed a bit that uses it’s immense search capabilities to do their dirty work for them. Everybody knows that when it comes to searching for information on the internet, nobody can come close to Google’s never ending banks of data center servers and storage racks.
As we all know, Google obtains it’s immense search capabilities by using specialized bits that indexes the internet at regular intervals creating databases of each and every word they find. May it be an article on an online newspaper, blog or academic research paper, if it’s on the net and it doesn’t have the bot exclusion code in it, it scans it and stores it. The scanning and storage goes for all, the good, the bad and ugly but security issues are addressed by security software that scans sites for malicious code.
